Toolkit Testing: Haspengouw/Westland

💡 “This exercise will be applicable. Definitely. There are many civil society organisations who are inaccessible for newcomers and this helps them understanding what they can do differently and what are possible reasons for people not reaching and thriving them”.

Encouraging words from our second ReROOT Toolkit testing session hosted by Ilse van liempt and Carolien Lubberhuizen (Utrecht University). This toolkit (edited by Luce Beeckmans, Dounia Salamé & Martina Bovo) is based on findings from two years of ethnographic research in arrival situations in eight countries and targets local policymakers and public servants, civil society organizations, as well as a broad range of professionals and volunteers involved in infrastructuring arrival, or minor integration work.

The feedback we received at today's testing session will help us ensure that our toolkit not only makes it into the hands of our target audiences but also makes sure that it is practically useful and applicable for different arrival infrastructure actors.

A more detailed report of these activities will follow, for now read more about our findings at https://rerootproject.eu/
