We wanted you to know that ReROOT is now ceasing use of its X account. This is something we have been considering for a while but the US presidential election campaign served only to underline what we have considered for a long time: that X is a toxic media platform and that its owner, Elon Musk, has been able to use its influence to shape political discourse.
Social media can be an important tool for international research projects such as ReROOT and help us to reach new audiences. Therefore we will continue to use Facebook and LinkedIn, but, at this point, X no longer aligns with the values of ReROOT.
